Sea Wanderer (#) (-1979), 30-foot fishing vessel that sank just off San Pedro Point, Santa Cruz Island on August 22, 1979. The four persons aboard, all wearing life preservers, were rescued from the sea by a Coast Guard helicopter shortly after the vessel sank.

August 24, 1979 [LAT]: “4 rescued as boat sinks. A Coast Guard helicopter rescued four men when their 28-foot commercial fishing vessel, the Sea Wanderer, sank off Anacapa Island. The men had radioed for help when their vessel began shipping water. They were first spotted by a tanker, which radioed their position to the Coast Guard. None of the four was injured.”
