December 3, 1950 [SF Examiner]: “Fisherman Shoots Self. Avalon (Catalina Island), Dec. 2.—Edward Abrahamson, a fisherman of Long Beach, aimed at a bothersome seal today, slipped on the deck of his boat and fatally shot himself in the chest. Abrahamson died in Avalon Hospital. ”

December 341950 [SDUnion]: “Accident kills man. Avalon, Dec. 3.—When he slipped on a wet deck as he started to shoot a seal here, Edward Abrahamson, 58, commercial fisherman, of Long Beach, shot himself fatally. ”
