1927 Santa Rosa Island: “ Astragalinus tristus salicamans. Willow Goldfinch. DeGroot saw at close range an adult male of this species on April 3. This is a new bird for any of the islands.” [“Through the generosity of Mr. Silsby M. Spalding who placed at our disposal his splendid cruiser Padariva I the writer accompanied by H. W.
