Marcus Baker (1849-1903)

BAKER, Marcus (1849-1903), Michigan-born geologist and cartographer who spent time working in California and Alaska.

In January 1874 Marcus Baker and William Healey Dall made a general natural history collecting visit to Santa Catalina Island, and plants collected are in the U.S. National Herbarium.
