August 7, 1892 [LAT/SB]: “The schooner yacht Juanita of San Pedro, Captain Frank Burgess acting as master, mate, cook and crew, came in from the north Friday evening and dropped anchor in the channel. Captain Burgess is traveling all alone. He now comes from San Francisco, having stopped a month in Monterey.”
August 7, 1892 [LAT/SB]: “Captain Frank Burgess of the yacht Juanita, after a stop of four days in Santa Barbara, hoisted his anchor, spread his sails and started for San Pedro yesterday morning.”
June 3, 1925 [TI/Avalon]: “Frank Burgess, who has been visiting his sister, Miss E. Burgess of Los Angeles, returned home Friday.”
