Boy Scouts of America

In the News~

August 4, 1920 [SBMP]: “Boy Scouts are taking a trip to the islands in place of an eight day expedition into the mountains which had been set for the second week in August. The only difficulty so far is to obtain transportation, and as none of the local skippers have come forward with offers to use their vessels, the Scouts will meet Friday to arrange contests and report on plans for the trip.”

July 15, 1921 [SBMP]: “A four-day cruise to Santa Cruz Island is being planned by Scout Executive Harold D. Ware for next month. This will particularly benefit the Boy Scouts who have been working since school closed and hope to take a vacation in August.”
