November 19, 1904 [Jefferson Jimplecute, Tx]: “Mrs. Emily Gow of Seattle, sister of Rebecca Harding Davis, the well known authoress and aunt of Richard Harding Davis, died at Catalina Island.”
June 20, 1929 [Escanaba Daily Press, Michigan]: “Funeral services were held here Tuesday for the late Josephine Bloomquist who died in Catalina Island, Calif. She is survived by her father, Frank Bloomquist, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Anderson and Edith Bloomquist. The Rev. Frank Peterson of Metropolitan, officiated.”
