CARRILLO, Maria Josefa Petra

CARRILLO, Maria Josefa Petra (1812-1883), eldest daughter of Carlos Carrillo (2nd of 10 children), married Boston-born American, Captain William Goodwin Dana (1797-1858) buried San Luis Obispo [SLO] Mission, on August 10, 1828. They had twenty-one children, thirteen of whom lived to adulthood. Dana was granted Rancho Nipomo in 1837 by Governor Pio Pico. The historic Dana adobe was given to the San Luis Obispo Historical Society in 1954.
