Carey, Santa Cruz Island

Carey, Santa Cruz Island is a survey station established in 1961 by C. G. S.

“about 1.85 miles westerly on the main traveled gravel road from the Santa Cruz Island Naval Station to a fork, take left fork southwest, up the hill to the top of the hill and the station, and set in the top of a 4 inch tiled sewer pipe which is filled with concrete and projects about 3 inches... The station is a standard disk, stamped CAREY 1961.”

The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1996.
