Avalon—1905 Catherine Loud Diary: “ January 1, 1905. W. H. Gill, the proprietor of the Windsor Hotel has just purchased the Catalina Hotel on Whittley Ave. A few months ago he bought the adjoining 40 ft. with the Erin Cottage giving him a frontage of 80 feet.”
