Conifer (#WLB 301) (1942-2000), steel-hulled seagoing buoy tender built in Duluth, Minnesota for the U.S. Coast Guard. Her primary mission is the maintenance of Aids to Navigation, and her operating area spans along the California coast from San Simeon Cove south to the Mexican border. She services approximately 120 Coast Guard buoys and 11 environmental buoys operated by the National Weather Service and other federal agencies. In 1986 she transferred to the Pacific coast where she remained in service until 2000 when the vessel was decommissioned.
