DORAN, Adelaide LeMert Paxton (1908-1987)[SS#563-68-7819], born in Kansas, was graduated from the University of California Los Angeles. She received her Masters degreed from the University of Southern California, and began her professional career with the Los Angeles City School System in 1929 as a California history teacher. Doran wrote two Channel Islands books, seventeen years apart.

She married Charles Fremont Doran (1905-1989), and they had a daughter, Patricia A. (b. 1939). Adelaide Doran is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale.
