FRITCHEY, John Quincy Adams
FRITCHEY, John Quincy Adams (1830-1897) was graduated from the University of Missouri in 1858. First a printer by trade, he went to law school and became a lawyer in St. Louis, Missouri. Fritchey collected plants on Santa Catalina Island on March 30, 1889. His specimens are in the Missouri Botanic Garden.
Fritchey died in Atlantic City, New Jersey on September 2, 1897 a month before his 67th birthday. He is buried in Shoops Cemetery, Harrisburgh, PA.
