Farallones (#) (-), a 32-foot local powerboat run by Captain Jacobson. According to the Morning Press of April 16, 1911, the Farallones:
- “was a fair type of craft found in the various ports on the Southern California coast; being designed for [island] outings and yet adapted to fishing purposes to which it was devoted at other seasons. She had a rather stubby mast and a jib for use in case of trouble with the engine, or when the weather favored utilization of the auxiliary power. The boat had an unusually good engine, developing close to 40 horsepower, and capable of a speed of about 10 knots an hour during ordinary conditions.”
The captain claimed she could cross the channel to Fry's Harbor in two hours and five minutes.
