HEWITT, Alpheus (c. 1865-1939), oologist from Winnebago City, Minnesota who was active in trading eggs.

Alpheus Hewitt = [1891] Emma Hadley Hewitt (1861-1934)

In 1940, the year after Hewitt's death, his collection of 4,000 North American eggs was given to the Department of Zoology of Carleton College, Northfield, Minnesota.
