Le Gran Coude, Santa Cruz Island

Le Gran Coude, Santa Cruz Island [Fr., the big elbow], a bluff of land to the west of Bosque Mano which extends into the Central Valley from the southern range. It was named in the 1880s during the Caire era for its elbow-like projection. Today The Nature Conservancy has several cabins atop Le Gran Coude.
