PEYTON, Lawrence Gorham (1890-1985), Fillmore-born farmer who often went birding with his younger brother, Sidney. Peyton collected at least eight bald eagle egg sets on Santa Cruz and Anacapa islands:

He published four articles in Condor between 1909-1918. Peyton died at age 95 in Santa Barbara, California on August 8, 1985. Peyton correspondence (1909-1929) is in the files of the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology, Berkeley.
