May 25, 1970 [LBI]: “A 17-year-old Bel Air youth drowned while skindiving with friends about 25 yards off Catlaina Island Sunday afternoon. The victim, George B. Pullman, was found on the ocean bottom 45 feet underwater off Arrow Point. He died in a final dive after his partner returned to their boat, Harbor Division detectives said. Pullman had been diving with Al Wide, 17, of West Los Angeles, just before the accident. after Pullman failed to return, Widen and other friends searched for him and found his body.”
