STRUSS, Karl

STRUSS, Karl (1886-1976), Academy Award winning cinematographer who filmed Male and Female on Santa Cruz Island’s north shore in 1919. Shortly before his death at age 90, Struss donated his collection of original stills and negatives from Male and Female to the Channel Islands Archives at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.
