Sandstone Point, Santa Cruz Island is located on the southeastern quarter of the island approximately six miles to the east of Valley Anchorage.

This place name appears on the Santa Cruz Island Sheet D topographic map.

Vessels lost off Sandstone Point include: Golden Gate (1952). On January 29, 1952, the 73.4-foot fishing boat, Golden Gate, caught fire and sank about one mile southeast of Sandstone Point.
