THORNE, Robert

THORNE, Robert Folger (1920-2015), New Jersey-born botanist, taxonomist, herbarium curator and systematist at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden who collected extensively on the California Channel Islands. He earned his PhD at Cornell in 1949.
