April 12, 1926 [SD Evening Tribune]: “Los Angeles, April 11.— As he rolled his bicycle about Avalon, Santa Catalina Island, last evening, Richard Trobridge, 7 years old, was struck by a car driven by John Stevens, 20. He died early today. Stevens was taken into custody.”
