WALDEN, Kenneth Allen

WALDEN, Kenneth Allen (1942-1989), United States Naval aviator and captain who served at the Pacific Missile Test Center, Point Mugu, California from September 1987 until May 1989, a month before his death at age 46. His Naval career lasted just short of 27 years, and on May 5, 1989 he was presented the Legion of Merit.

Captain Walden's memorial service was held at Smugglers Ranch on the east end of Santa Cruz Island with cooperation from Francis Gherini. A memorial plaque was placed at Smugglers Ranch in his honor, which was later removed by Channel Islands National Park personnel.
