WALSH, Joseph Fidler (b. 1947), American musician active in the historic preservation of Santa Cruz Island, California. Walsh and island owner, Carey Stanton became friends in the late 1970s, and maintained their friendship until the death of Carey Stanton in 1987. Walsh began playing at the annual Feast of the Holy Cross in the island's chapel in 1988, and has continued that tradition for three decades.

Joe Walsh has served on the Board of the Santa Cruz Island Foundation since the 1980s. He became President of the Foundation with the retirement of David Watts, Carey' Stanton's lawyer and board president for over two decades.
