  • Lotus grandiflorus var grandiflorus Chaparral Lotus california native found on Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, Santa Catalina and Guadalupe islands
  • Lotus hamatus Small-flowered Lotus found on Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, Santa Catalina and San Clemente islands
  • Lotus micranthus San Diego Lotus found on Santa Cruz Island, with a range from British Columbia to southern CA
  • Lotus purshianus Spanish Clover annual found throughout west North America, and on Santa Cruz and Santa Catalina islands
  • Lotus salsuginosus var. salsuginosus Coastal Lotus is native to North America and is found on Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, San Miguel, Anacapa, Santa Catalina islands, as well as on Islas San Benito and Cedros
  • Lotus strigosus Bishop's Lotus, a widespread native, is found on all Channel islands except Santa Barbara and San Nicolas; as well as on Islas Todos Santos, San Martin, and Cedros islands
